The 2008's Fifth International Conference on Hydrometallurgy Hydrometallurgy

First Announcement and Call for Papers

1.General Information

Sponsored by the Nonferrous Metals Society of China and organized by Central South University and the Metallurgical Physicochemistry Academic Committee of the Nonferrous Metals Society of China,the 2008's Fifth International Conference on Hydrometallurgy will be held in November 2008 and at Zhangjiajie which is famous stone-forest mountain scenery in west Hunan Province.

The 2008's Fifth International Conference on Hydrometallurgy will focus on the latest progress and achievements on hydrometallurgy during the past years and give a profound opportunity, challenge and development direction faced with hydrometallurgy in the next years. The conference aims at bringing people to share knowledge and exchange ideas between academe and development of science and technology of hydrometallurgy. The organizing committee earnestly invites all the scholars, scientists and engineers majoring in the hydrometallurgy to attend the conference.

2.Contribution scope

(1) Conservation and exploitation of resources and environments, continuous development,lifecycle evaluation;

(2) Physicochemistry, the simulation and emulation of chemical process;

(3) Leaching, detachment, purification, analysis, pretreatment;

(4) The application of new technique and equipment;

(5) The application of new materials and chemical products;

While the main scope will be on hydrometallurgy, appropriate contributions from other disciplines are welcomed; particularly those present ideas or techniques that might be beneficially applied to the modeling and analysis of hydrometallurgical processes.
3.Instruction to Authors

All contributions should be written in English (with extra one copy in Chinese for authors only from China), either original research or critical review not previously published. Contributions should be submitted by E-mail to: Yang Yahui or Ding zhiying, School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Central South University, Changsha, 410083, China. The organization committee of 2008's Fifth International Conference on Hydrometallurgy reserves the right to reject manuscripts and to edit contributions when necessary.
    The following are the stylistic requirements for an acceptable manuscript.
(1) Title should be brief (normally less than 10 notional words in upper case letters) and consist of names rather than chemical formulas, and abbreviations should be avoided. If the title is long, please supply a shortened version for the running headline.
(2)The name(s) of the author(s) and the name and complete postal address (including zip code) of the institute where the research work was done should be indicated on the manuscript. The name of the author to whom correspondence is to be addressed should be marked with an asterisk. Authors Email is also required.
(3)Every paper for publication, including review commentaries except short communication, must be preceded by an abstract of not less than 250 words. Compound number must not be used unless they defined within abstract. The key words should not be less than three.
(4)The use of SI units is strongly recommended. All figures should be given in proper place in the text and must be saved and submitted as PC compatible files. All nomenclature should be consistent, clear and unambiguous, and should conform as closely as possible to the rules established by IUPAC.
(5)Usually the manuscript should be organized under the following general headings: Abstract, Introduction, Experimental, Results,Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgement and References. The contents should include first, second and, if necessary, third level text headings.
(6)Only journal article, monograph, proceedings, standard, patent, and/or electronic publication, formally published cited in the text can be listed and must be numbered consecutively by Arabic numerals. Personal communications and unpublished data are not acceptable.
